They should've just given us an insanely difficult ix2 boss fight. Sure he's pretty shit in gameplay, but in-universe, at this point, he's pretty much as far beyond S+ rank adepts as they are beyond regular adepts. Destroying Voltaic chains with his own special in one game is an impressive feat by itself, Roro having to darkness trigger it up JUST to keep up with him in the next is another entirely.
