That review was actually despair-inducing.
How a person can have his brain so fried by arcade games that he doesn't understand monotony is almost always a negative in games, so cynical that he thinks people will only choose the easiest ways to play games first, so shameless in promoting his own agenda that he will present a re-release of an SNES game as an alternative to a 2025 game, so ought of touch that he calls a 5 hour game "massive", and so ready to argue in bad faith he complains that modern action games put Hard behind beating the game while chastising one for giving you ways to make the game harder basically from the start, then presenting a tutorial being changed more than the rest of the campaign as a gotcha of the devs being rushed – all while ignoring what the game is trying to do, because it's not the way he likes (read: like the old game), is beyond me.
