in terms of anime I watched both but liked Digimon better, got lucky and didn't have to watch the horrid english dub
as for games my intro into Pokemon was yellow on a floppy with BGB and for Digimon it was Rumble Arena, it just reinforced my image of Pokemon = meh / Digimon = kewl
