I think it's bullshit that they just retconned the old gods being able to die, especially with the several plot points regarding C'Thun, such as Cho'gall trying to revive him and such, but then suddenly didn't, he's still just an avid Old God worshipper and all those eyes over his body was totally not C'Thun or anything.
As far as all of them went, implying we've killed C'Thun by ourselves without any higher being aid or magical artifact or whatever the fuck is just dumb. We apparently just went in and slapped him a couple of times. That's enough to kill a God apparently... It's bullshit.
So I figure if they gotta insert Void Trolls into the mix somehow, because you know they fucking will, give the Farraki one more go to make a power play. Because all they've had was Zul'Farrak and Gahz'rilla as this random old god pet they worshipped without elaboration.
Have the Sand Trolls go exploring Ahn'Qiraj, find remnants of C'Thun, take on his power, decide they need more numbers, seek out whatever is left of the Amani, boom, Void Trolls and an allegiance that isn't "ZUL IS RALLYING BAD TROLLS AGAIN!"
Also gives C'Thun another deserved chance to be cool, since he was pretty much just the guy tossed out initially with no backstory or established crap on Old Gods. He got the War of the Shifting Sands, but even that's still just a whole lot of non-detail and disjointed from all the other Old God stuff.
