If the most successful way to control and/or eliminate social anxiety is through intentional exposure, then how silly would it be for me to start random smalltalk with every stranger I see? I'm lonely, insecure and deeply afraid of failure and rejection, to the point of being paralyzed in multiple areas of life, social interactions being one of them.
