1) The West's economy is 80% financial. If America loses the dollar, there is no "West".
2) China's population alone is far greater than all the west combined.
3) A manufacturing base isn't hard to produce. What's difficult to produce is markets and tech.
In any case, China's manufacturing base along is basically the size of "The West"(if you don't include Japan/South Korea). Moreover, Europe is losing its market share because it cannot compete against China since it is being forced to pay 3-4x more for energy. Chinese manufacturing with Russians resources is just far too formidable of a force. Richard Nixon explained it in the video I linked.
