Skaven did have a 40k version back when the faction was being developed, but it never got past the concept stage. Even so they may have made it into the setting as the Hrud, the older rulebooks depicted them as a cloaked figure with clawed hands and a tail that looks suspiciously similar to how GW artists of the time depicted rat tails in sketches. The label of Hrud was also given to some spooky inflatable tube man looking fuckers for a while, and the most recent source mentioning the Hrud acknowledges this with an in-universe character stating that he's not entirely sure what a Hrud actually is because he's heard multiple conflicting descriptions of them.
