I'm almost done with R, and I'm gonna be honest, Ami sucks. I don't know if later seasons allow her to grow as a character, but so far she's been reduced to "the girl who likes to study." Almost every time she opened her mouth in this season, it was to say something related to studying, even if it had nothing to do with the conversation, and the first episode to focus entirely on her revolves around her being blamed for cheating on a test. Come on. She's a nothing character. I don't know why the other girls can have multiple hobbies and different interactions that don't revolve around a single trait, but Ami can't.
