Humans are incredibly weird. Massive sacrifices have been made just to have a large brain. Babies can't even walk until 12-18 months. Their brains aren't properly formed so they thrash about like they're spamming all the buttons. They have to be ejected from the mother after 9 months because that is the biological limit that the mother can tolerate. The digestive system has been cut down and simplified so there is enough free energy to power the brain. Just to be able to eat we must pre-digest food, by cooking it, so our simple digestive system can extract enough nutrition to be viable. If we were to artificially grow humans we could keep them in the womb-tank for a couple of years and get fully walking-talking children at birth, like pretty much all other species.
