That's all I want. I don't even want a story, just give us a sandbox in a decently large city with a suburb. Look at something like Noita or Kenshi or Elin. Maybe it wouldn't have widespread appeal but if the power + crafting options were large enough you don't need a shitty story to be engaged. You'll make your own autistic story in your head. Allow different ages in the character creator for further roleplay. An rpg point system to mix and match powers, stats and skills. Meaning that you can play a batman type character that doesn't have superpowers but has enough gadgets and crafting ability to be effective. Other heroes get generated at launch to populate the world. You can be a villain, a hero working with the cops or a vigilante. If you have no powers you can find out about crimes through a police scanner or future crimes through investigating, or if you have super hearing you can be alerted of crimes as they happen and can respond quicker. There's so much shit you could do with this concept.

You'd think after a decade plus of capeshit would have reignited interest in making original superhero games and movies. It was a short lived era in the late 2000's. Protoype, Infamous, Jumper, Push
