Sakiko's story got dumped in the very first episode, the staff even admitted that they want to be done with it already so that they can focus on the other characters. (This for me is one of their biggest mistakes).
Most of the season focused on Mutsumi and she affected most of the other characters' actions.
Mygo's story actually involve mygo characters.
