Paulo is such a mess and we got lucky that for some reason he's the sole character in this comic (besides Abbey but thats all been off-camera through his therapist for the most part) whos issues are actually addressed and worked on. It's why Paisy is the one ship I actively kind of hate, not out of territorialism but she kind of just sweeps it under the rug and loves him regardless of his issues while his friendship and even just proximity to Mike has always been a driving factor for quantifiable improvement.
Paulo hasn't really worked on his feelings of inadequacy and being "worth" Daisy and the closest he's come to confronting the matter has been because of you know who. Daisy's interest just seems to come from him being a hunk. But they're together anyway and in total fairyland for now until bad boy Augustus comes within 100 feet of her (another character she's infatuated with but in a way that doesn't contribute to his self-improvement in the slightest, unlike Lucy). If shes going to be as good for him as Mike is then she needs to actually address that, and maybe even start touching on Paulo having absolutely zero plans for his future, because even if he does vaguely plan on the blue collar life he still can't make a living working at Good Burger.
