I don't think it's a waifu thing. It's just that Haze is SO common that she might be the most mained hero so naturally every discourse is just gonna be full of haze mains (or at least people who play haze) and people will ALWAYS downplay the heroes they play.

It's like soldier in TF2. He's the best class and easiest to do well with which is why 50% of players main him (which is by far the greatest majority) but as a result you don't see as many complaints. For everytime you get stomped by soldier you also play soldier so you don't mind. More people complain when a spy or pyro kills them despite being weak

It's also why balancing popular powerful heroes and weak less popular heroes offers and issue. Nerf the popular power hero to go from S tier to A tier and people will have a meltdown then all the morons carried by their easy mode hero tank the winrate and then they think "oh maybe we overnerfed". Basically making it so strong popular heroes always remain strong. But if you buffed a weak unpopular hero the discourse is more "wah wah I don't play this hero and it killed me (I was playing a stronger hero) they over buffed!!"
