Seems to be aware of Kris and the Soul's relationship while also possessing the Black Knife which appears to be a blade made of darkness. Has something to do with a conspiracy between the Knight and Kris.
Gaster is the creator of Deltarune and is the one who brought us to this game. He intended us to have a vessel but someone intercepted us and put us in Kris. He wants us to play Deltarune as an experiment and is our biggest fan. He essentially acts as one of Toby's author avatars along with the annoying dog but is more "serious"
Entry 17 details Gaster creating a dark world and presumably talking to sans or alphys or perhaps, Kris and Noelle or FRIEND and the Knight who fucking knows but he's the first person we know of who created a dark world.
