Going to mirror what other anons have said, but it's bad as a male. I have had some nice conversations with some girls, but a lot of them have severe personality issues (BPD, avoidant attachment, etc.) that make it very difficult. Also a lot of them are just addicted to the validation of dating apps which is bad news if you're trying to form a serious connection. I do have one (1) female friend I met from duo at least.
