This was a good game.
Yeah it’s not Arkham, but it’s not trying to be (and is actually in a separate canon).
Suicide Squad was straight up bad and ALSO tried to retrofit into the Arkhamverse to disastrous degrees, whereas Gotham is its own thing and tells a decent story with some good moments for each character.
The gear shit is annoying but way less egregious than SS considering there’s only three pieces to worry about + mod chips, and every bat character actually plays differently unlike SS members.
The open world has a decent amount to do with ambient crimes, optional traversal challenges, collectibles, side stories, etc.
You have the challenge modes and ladders, skill trees, lots of customization options.
My only true gripe is that the game runs at 30fps on console and that general movement across Gotham is a little slow for how large the city is (both issues corrected on PC with mods).
As a bonus, Batgirl is actually hot and all of her costumes show off her massive ass.
Is it a replacement for the Arkham games? No, but it’s perfectly fun and fine if you want more Batman content and have already done all the challenge maps in the Arkham tetralogy.

>make Arkham but worse
>make Arkham but worse again with Suicide Squad
But why?
Also why was this locked to 30fps on console and not PC?
