I think the disappointment over Pomni and Jax also comes from how contentious Jax is with the fandom. We've had several episodes of him being a jerk to everyone, Goose has continued to say that people need to stop making excuses for him, but then his fans continue to do so anyway and THEN the protagonist buddies up to him after seeing how he treats people. It's just more armor for Jax and people are getting frustrated.
