I get it. But if you can't even enjoy a bit of grind in a Command based JRPG....this series may not be for you.

Play Final Fantasy VII original. Don't drop it after 2 hours just because you're a zoomer who wants to look at his phone during battle!
Read, listen to the music, learn little tricks, get immersed in the journey. Finish it. If you get it, then you get the series.
Then you should play another one like VI, IV, V, pick up VIII again with new perspective.
