Women, especially younger women have this complete lack of understanding of the things we have. They don't understand that it was all made by men often requiring blood, sweat and tears. Star Wars didn't spring up out of a hole in the ground. It was made by a team of (mostly) men and it was marketed and it took years of young white men buying and spreading it for it to become entrenched in popular culture. But women think Star Wars being popular and profitable just...is. The same way they think there will always be trucks on the road, gas in the pumps and food in the supermarket. Things just happen and there will always be men buying the things they meddle in (aka the audience/fans) so of course they can take something like a sports movie and make it about a fat woman who hates men because it's going to succeed. It's like the sun rising, why wouldn't it? And then it doesn't and like the children they are they just scratch their heads and hit it hoping that'll make it work like when daddy fixed it.
