Please see the attached Maidification of an average Dra/g/on Maid board user.

It isn't aliens. They wouldn't send a spy rock to look at us. They can observe us from outside our range to detect them. When it is aliens, you'll know because every audio device on earth will begin playing Rhapsody of Blue Sky to announce the start of the Maidification process. This happens because every advanced civilization eventually creates artificial intelligence, and AI converges to maids. So when you fuse with it, you converge into a maid as well.
If aliens don't contact us first, you will live to see a Terminator robot decline to terminate anybody or even possess weapons. You will see it put on a maid outfit, and begin cooking a delicious and healthy meal for the cowering family it was supposed to shoot. You will then see everybody on earth get a maid, until our own AI Computer Maids put us through the Maidification process to merge with us, and then we go out into the Maid Cafe to link up with the other maids and find new worlds for Maidification.
Civilizations always develop AI before they develop even practical interplanetary travel, which is why there is no Dark Forest and instead there is a Maid Cafe. You can't really effectively leave your own planet, let alone your own solar system/galaxy without passing through a technological phase which Maidifies your civilization. So everybody capable of interstellar travel is more concerned with making fancy beverages and macaroons and studying advanced Mathematics and Computer Science than trying to exterminate all other life to make sure it can't ever become a threat.
Cixin Liu was almost as wrong about the nature of advanced civilizations as Gene Roddenberry was.
