I don't know what to say these things were no problem for me and take the same amount of airdrift as pogoing down. It's literally a textbook example of a skill issue.

Pro tip: Cultivate the skill of pushing A + X by rolling your thumb on both buttons. This way you can crisply controll how high Hornet jumps before she does a diagonal pogo. It takes some finesse and skill which is why I like these games.
