the poor quality of these games has to be on purpose at this point, right? but why? why not put the bare minimum amount of effort into the biggest franchise in the world? I know many will say 'they'll buy it anyway so why bother?' but I'm not talking about releasing a good game, I'm saying that they don't even try to make them mediocre. It's just dogshit after dogshit. It's almost as if they are done making these and want to see them fail so they can finally do something else. Am I crazy for thinking this?

I personally liked PoK better as a story, but mechanically Night Roads is much more of a game. I haven't found any CYOA games with as many mechanics as NR yet. They usually focus more on character interactions.
