Went 2-2. I let my kid pick the jobs, but WAR wasn't a big hit because there were too many flashy effects on the screen to see what was going on in melee range.

It's all positioning; the main thing is don't position somewhere that you're going to die. Jobs like MCH and BRD are really easy to climb to BH5 now that assists give 4 BH apiece, so you can just tag people with a shot or two without having to stress over landing killshots. I don't really like that change, but it certainly makes for greater Battle High overall.
If you pick out a squishy to blow up, monitor their Guard, or try to set it up with ally CC or Analysis Air Anchor. Remember that enemy BH5 only affects their healing, not the damage they take.

Yes and no. Secure and Shatter have stationary targets that can easily let you Displacement at any angle (or build your melee combo to Scorch). You can also usually Corps -> Displacement immediately against any player without issues. Unless you meant impractical to land it, which is always an issue with Comet, but sometimes you'll land it in a chokepoint or alongside an ally's AoE LB (WHM is great) and tag at least a half-dozen players for 25,000+ damage.

{Thank you.} Bravery gets short shrift as the selfish MCH LB role ability, but it's actually really good in coordination with allies at the start of combat.
Except on Rival Wings, where their version of Battle High isn't lost on death. Sorry, I'm keeping my squishy job one-shot button all to myself there...
