I read that haruhi susumiya only contains 7k unique words, and is considered good enough for literary tests on colleges, meanwhile game of thrones have 15k unique words.
Not sure where I read that.
But I wonder if japanese are actually more conservative in using new words.
I mean, It seems japanese use the same word to have more meanings, meanwhile english seems to be the oposite.
