Thanks for telling me about this podcast. I listened to the whole episode.
I love how the ex-employees all say that Concord was a great game and that they did unnecessary overtime for it. I love how they all thought it was going to be a big success, and if it wasn't, then they'd have a year or two to fix it and it'd be a success anyway. I also love when they said they released the beta and they IMMEDIATELY knew it was going to bomb hard and they became demoralized. I also love when they admitted the only livestreams of the game were sponsored and that no organic streamer was playing the game. I love how all the ex-employees actually wanted to do other things than create video games - like get into Hollywood - and could only find work on Concord too. And the only guy who said he wanted to make video games was the only one to realize there were problems with 'certain elements' of the game but basically had no input. And it was absolutely amazing to hear that the ex-exmployees talked to other studios and those other studios told them they were toning down or outright removing certain 'elements' from their game.
