And honestly it isn't the worst call, I just wanted to post an image. Clem would've likely gotten the lightest punishment out of anyone, maybe Rebecca but she wasn't as capable at that point. Carver very, VERY obviously liked Clementine (probably because he saw something of himself in him? I'm not sure). Of course Alvin throws the whole thing out of wack but...it was the best option.
