Having 20 respawns and playing as characters that die instantly to damn near anything touching them for a fraction of a second is terrible game design. The first game had a downed state you could be picked up from and was much better for it.

Ragdolling and aimpunch did not need to be features of this game. Arrowhead's insistance on ragdolling, to the point of removing shield backpack's immunity from it, is extremely ironic considering they think the playing field should be absolutely level based on what the players and enemies can do to each other. You can't ragdoll the enemy units in this game. Only they can ragdoll you.
