Alcohol is a drug, most people do it, and most people have children. Things are just fine most of the time.
Same with prescription opiates, benzos, gabaergics, nicotine, etc.

The issue isn't "LE EBIL DRUGS" (which is an arbitrary categorization that doesn't make any sense if you think for a single second), it's substance abuse in all its forms.

Addicts are ill fitted to take care of children, that includes all substances, legal or not, prescribed or not.

I'm an occasional substance user, just like most people are with alcohol except I do other substances (which are most of the time less dangerous than alcohol), and I have a family. Things are going just fine.
