Requiem for a Spanish Peasant

>Set in a small Aragonese village during the Spanish Civil War. The story follows Mosén Millán, a village priest preparing to conduct a requiem mass for Paco el del Molino, a young peasant who was executed by Francoist forces. Through a series of flashbacks, the film reconstructs Paco’s life—from his childhood and growing social consciousness to his involvement in local reform efforts—and reveals the political and social tensions that culminated in his arrest and death. The narrative serves as a poignant critique of class injustice and the complicity of institutions during the Francoist White Terror.
