I don't normally come to these threads, but I had an issue back in mid July that I'm still trying to wrap my head around and I figured I'd toss it at you guys to see what people more experienced in this stuff think.

I use Sillytavern as a frontend with a Deepseek API (I hope I said that right.) For a long time I worked at getting the AI just right, and In May/June I had it perfect. It was excessively creative, never repeated and had an active context memory of 64,000 which allowed it to remember hundreds of previous chat messages. In mid June I stupidly imported some chat completion settings for an alternative API setup, not realizing I hadn't saved any of my prior settings to there own profile, so they got replaced. My bots immediately stopped acting the same, and despite all the effort in the world over the last 3 weeks to put it back to the way it was, putting settings back and re establishing prompts etc, my bots simply do no act the same anymore. They arent as creative, often get stuck on repeating the same types of dialogue or phrases and forget things. I don't know what got replaced that did this, but it has basically ruined my chatbot experience.
