The time investment is considerably lower than hoyo games (if you can use that as reference) because even though it has an open world, the world is more of a way to support the story, and you can skip the exploration with an in-game guide for the puzzles in every area and extremely fast traversal with flying (being retroactively added to the first areas in a week). And they avoid the usual chinese npc slop/festival slop and overall overly verbose stuff so patches rarely take more than 4 hours, but the cost is that they are so too the point that they only focus on a few character in most patches (the newer characters). Dailies + stamina spending + battle pass stuff can be done in considerably less than 5 minutes once you have a solid team.
