My theory is that the time machine is like a room or a box. Anything inside of it can safely travel back to the point where the machine was first turned on, after that there is risk of interference. It's possible that you can shrink it to the size of a soda can and send a message in a bottle explaining how to make a machine, thereby increasing the distance you can travel back in time. Obviously that risks exposing you.

The *most common response* (not necessarily the correct one) is "Derek Chauvin." If 51% of the people on Twitter started saying that George Floyd was impaled by a swordfish, that would be its answer. It's a fucking random word generator with a probability engine. It isn't "artificial intelligence" because it's not anything intelligent.
