As an ex-NEET having converted into a full-time healthcare worker making ~98k USD/year working a relatively easy job, I realize that while it's nice to make money, save and invest. I still have dreams about doing nothing and NEETing. I also realize I was right about a lot of things as a NEET. I don't like being broke, but almost everything involving interpersonal relationships and people was 100% true. People, specifically coworkers are just terrible. Seeing people temporally is fine, but you come to loathe your coworkers because you never build a true connection with them and everything is superficial and contrived. If you like hanging out in the air of a first layer connection and making fake buddy-buddy with everyone playing the social game, then socializing will be great for you. Part of being a NEET is having a deep rooted hatred for humanity. I want the best for people, I wish people wouldn't suffer, but it's inevitably because of people's desire to control and manipulate each other for their own gain that suffering exists. In the end, I'm a true misanthrope with a job.
