It's only worth it if you can reach 40 then you can realistically work here and there until you can sell your mom's house, downsize and live on the money until you get a pension at 65.
30 is suicide tier, you are not used to working and you have a long road ahead unless you have ...other plans ;)

Yes.

I'm 27 years old and I work, I even currently have two jobs. What do you get out of it? Absolutely nothing. I work because I need a lot of money right now because I'm planning to move, but after I've bought what I need, I'll stop.

Will I ever be a homeowner? No, it's too expensive and out of my reach. Getting into a 40-year mortgage is pointless, I might as well be renting. The baby boomers destroyed the real estate market. All homeowners are constantly someone's son, its all nepotism.

Do I need a steady income? No, I live alone, I can work six months a year seasonally and then collect unemployment benefits as a NEET after, that's what I do.

There's nothing to build, no plans, nothing. Women are all whores and have known 50 guys before you, other than being a cuck, it's completely useless. Virgin women don't exist and they're not feminine anyway. Basically, working is about supporting your family, but there are no more families in our Jewish and feminist economic zones, so working is pointless.

Rent : 500-750€
I work 6 7 month and i neet 6 7 month with 1200€/unmployment benefits without moving ez neet. And I also put money aside, so I don't suffer any precariousness.

Guys who say they are happy for being a neet and wasting 18-30 are in for bad times playing catch up from 30-70. A lot of my older millenial peers who travelled and didn't bother getting a house or investing are in for that now.
I was glad I worked hard and was able to partially retire at 33.
Front load your hard work when you are young so that your life is easier when you are older. Don't coast on tutorial mode from 18-30 then enter nightmare difficulty in your 40s.

Never listen to a millennial or whatever faggot generation of boomer who gives you life advice in 2025. They talk like women, meaning they think their life advice applies to us.

These are the same people who think that to meet a girl these days, you just have to go to a bar like SIMS and start talking to complete strangers.
They are disconnected from reality

They talk about a world that doesn't exist.

Based. I've been a stay-at-home dad for the last decade, since I was 25. My wife has a great career and pulls in way more than I ever could, so it just made sense. Life's completely stress free and I wouldn't trade it for anything.

The best part is raising my son right. We build shit, I'm teaching him to code, and we tear around the neighborhood on our bikes. Basically, I get to make sure he doesn't grow up to be a complete kike loving normie. When he's doing his own thing, I'm usually lost in a personal coding project, messing with my homelab, or playing vidya.

Zero regrets. The whole 9-to-5 wage slave grind just to barely scrape by never appealed to me. Living life on my own terms is the ultimate reward. Hopefully i can continue being a NEET for the rest of my days.

I was only a NEET up until 23, but I started at the age of 13. I'm 39 now, still socially isolated. Right now I'm living in my boss' of a pizza places backyard in his trailer with no power or water hookups. I couldn't do $1600 rent alone.

I regret being a NEET for that time but I also know with a very sour taste in my mouth that things wouldn't have been good if I wasn't a NEET. There's many aspects of me that I think are excellent entirely because I'm decoupled from society... I save so much money on brands and trends that I don't see an interest in.

I don't particularly regret the loss of economic opportunity, as the suffering of work far outweighs the pleasure of luxury consumption. True wealth such as house ownership (as opposed to mortgage slavery) was never quite in my grasp to begin with.
However, I do somewhat bemoan the social opportunities that may have emerged as the result of a career, particularly a romantic relationship. Although, lots of my fellow poors, especially drug addicts and the mentally retarded, seem to have no problem in that area, so I suspect I would have ended up alone either way.

I don't think any neet wants to be unproductive and useless, but the structure of society is hellbent on forcing (white men especially) into being unproductive and useless.

So the best revolt against the machine is to try and do something productive anyway. Even if it's just a hobby. Some level of self mastery, of improvement no matter how small, dramatically improves your happiness as a neet. For me, it was always at its worst when I wasn't speaking to people or doing things that required testing myself and improving my skills, and always at its best when I was.

Videogames give that sense of self mastery, but it's hard to branch that out into other areas. I would say the best thing you can do is exercise every day. Literally just a 30 minute walk and some pushups, situps, squads, and rows/pullups and you're 80% covered for physical fitness and it gives you a natural feeling of fulfillment, satisfaction, and accomplishment (not to mention energy to actually do other things).

This is where I have arrived at. I built a big greenhouse this year, put a concrete floor in it and all and I grew a lot of herbs. Russian and French tarragon, rosemary, 2 varieties of oregano, 4 varieties of mint, sage, thyme and lemon balm. I've propagated a bunch of them from the original plants I sowed/bought or took from relatives. I've been learning to use them and learning how to cook better

I keep trying to get back into lifting and training. I haven't really done it since 9 years ago. I'd do a workout to get back into it but I never follow up. I just have to push myself I suppose. There isn't really any excuse

At times I wonder if I'd have been happier slaving away for peanuts in some job

and while I can't say for sure that I wouldn't be happier, I know from the few times I've had a job that it has absolutely sucked everything out of me, all my time, all my energy, forever beholden to a fucking alarm clock; I was never happier with work, rather the times I've worked have been the most soul-sucking unhappy periods of my entire life.

So I do honestly think that if I up and died tomorrow, my only real regret would be the lack of a family/children/wife - not the neetdom. Working for someone else gives you nothing and takes everything.

The best thing I could possibly do for myself isn't to start working at some job or other, it'd be to figure out how to turn my time into money on my own terms.

Life is not black and white. I had more time as a NEET, but no money to do anything with it and no friends. Now I have a lot of work friends and no time to enjoy spending the money I make. I also had to buy a car to get to work so I can pay for the car. Feels slightly better than being NEET just because NEET is basically a black hole that you come out of homeless when mommydaddy is gone. I even did the cabinbro meme for a bit but that was also a waste of time. There is nothing in the woods but nature that wants to take everything from you. No, you wont live without the internet, no you wont be a farmer because you can barely get out of bed and feed yourself with slop from the supermarket. Feels OK. I make art in my free time and that keeps me sane. At least my job is easy and comfy, I've had a lot worse, and thats what made me NEET in the first place.

I'm certainly no NEET, but I don't think most NEETs in the current year will feel "the itch" at 30. There are too many college grads without jobs, too many employed adults still living at home. The NEET's current situation isn't different enough for them to really feel the heat. Truth is, if everything keeps getting worse they may never regret it because the difference between a NEET and a worker might never get big enough for a NEET to care.
Will NEETs ever feel like real men? No, but they're comfy enough to not care at the moment.

I just learned the hard way that it doesn't matter how hard you work, hard work only pays off it it's done for yourself. You should never work hard for others. Now, the corporate world would literally need to not only pay me enough to buy a house, outright in cash within 4 years of employment (not just that total compensation is that much- but what I have after having to pay these ridiculous rents is enough), but they also have to remove women from the workforce entirely. You're not wrong, but you're mistaking the bitter, trapped NEETs for the rest of us. You're talking about the guys who are NEET not by choice, but because of a shitty life and poor decisions.

Of course the miserable ones are going to try and pull you back down. Seeing you escape the bucket just reminds them that they're still stuck at the bottom.

Honestly, good for you. The end goal for everyone should be finding a path that doesn't make them miserable. For you, that's working a trade. For me, it's being a NEET. As long as you're not just another cog in the machine against your will, you're doing it right.

>has your body somehow adjusted?
No, you don't adjust. It's a series of doing damage and then spending a handful of months rebuilding your body. You literally feel it every time you breath for like two months, but you can clear 35k in 24 days as an experienced deckhand in the right place Drift Netting, or Greenhorns can make 6-14k. Insider knowledge tip, you don't get paid until the fish get sold, and that can take two or three months. Is why I'm broke. Seiners make like a quarter more than that on average, I would say. It's why all the crabbers do coke, they have it the hardest.
>>514978936
Drift Netting, Seining, Tendering, Captaining, and next year I'm aiming to do all of that plus Crabbing. I say again, you are not interesting. Give people actually practical advice on how to do everything you claim, or shut the fuck up. Because again, the average person will statistically not make that money after investing in the occupation.

note how you can’t actually refute what was said, you are so deep set in your world view that the only way to win this argument in your own mind is to mentally frame those that don’t work hard like you do (working hard being a fixed positive by default because ???) as beneath you, because you are superior, you’re the winner, you earned status, your boss awarded YOU… and then then someone comes along who doesn’t play along with the game you’ve fully committed to and the mild cognitive dissonance immediately drives you to self protection in the only feeble way you know how

They practically own that definition.

You are more along the classification of "financially independent". Financially independent people don't have to work, they choose to if they wish. And they are not at risk of poverty and desolation, should circumstances change, nor are they incapable of supporting a family.

>The NEET on the other hand, is a miserable wretch who exists at the bottom of the totem pole. Hating himself, coping by pretending to be smug. He knows his financial future is uncertain, likely he is parasitizing off of his parents, or if he's smart -- the government. He knows this situation is tenuous so he will never be truly at ease, and there may come a day when he is much too old to start again, but will need to work or face starvation.

The true NEET is a pitiable creature, but almost always, his plight is of his own making.

You've articulated the difference perfectly.

The problem is, this board is an echo chamber for the exact miserable wretch you described. They live online because their actual lives are empty. Their whole identity is built around a label they secretly hate.

The rest of us NEETs, the ones who are genuinely independent and content, are too busy living our lives to get bogged down in endless semantic arguments. We have families, projects, and actual hobbies.
We're just visiting. They live here.

I have moments of sadness or worry about not having enough money incase of implausible emergency situation (moreso pointless anxiety as I think I'd be able to work out some kind of payment plan if such a thing happened), but otherwise am infinitely happier than being a wage slave for a bunch of silicone Valley out of touch retards who want to replace us all with mindless jeets anyway. If I could start my own online business and make a small amount of income from it that'd be my absolute ideal, but I'm not willing to go back to in person wage slaving to get the funds to start up, so it'll probably never happen. I assume I'll be miserable and homeless when I'm elderly or something but I just can't bring myself to chose the alternative of busting my ass for stupid, illogical corporate.

As an ex-NEET having converted into a full-time healthcare worker making ~98k USD/year working a relatively easy job, I realize that while it's nice to make money, save and invest. I still have dreams about doing nothing and NEETing. I also realize I was right about a lot of things as a NEET. I don't like being broke, but almost everything involving interpersonal relationships and people was 100% true. People, specifically coworkers are just terrible. Seeing people temporally is fine, but you come to loathe your coworkers because you never build a true connection with them and everything is superficial and contrived. If you like hanging out in the air of a first layer connection and making fake buddy-buddy with everyone playing the social game, then socializing will be great for you. Part of being a NEET is having a deep rooted hatred for humanity. I want the best for people, I wish people wouldn't suffer, but it's inevitably because of people's desire to control and manipulate each other for their own gain that suffering exists. In the end, I'm a true misanthrope with a job.

I don't want a fucking IT job. I am explaining everything why you are giving poor advice, being a narcissist. To become a fisherman you need to be relatively young, join a Facebook group or reply to a Craigslist ad, fly to Alaska and then somewhere within Alaska, and buy like 300-400 dollars of wet gear plus a roughly 300 dollar fishing license. Ideally, on a written contract.
