Pic related: New supposedly D2 tool steel DLC coated AK trip bar for 1.5mm thick receivers (RPK, Zastava etc). Front edge of the trip bar where the carrier grabs it and pushes it forward rounded off within just a handful of racks. I think it might be poor material, not sure.

IMO we're in a race against time right now. We need FRT and SS systems and products to be developed across as many platforms as possible, and for them to be made as functional, reliable, and durable as possible, to help motivate maximum adoption and market penetration. The more law abiding serious and even casual gun owners have them, the more proliferation and value owners see in the devices, but most importantly in the US political and legal system, the MORE MONEY that is in the space, the better the chances are that FRT and SS will survive the inevitable FRT/SS Mandalay Bay (COMPED SUSHI).
So show your friends, chat about it at the gun shop. Buy new models and support the businesses. I have A LOT of gripes with Atrius for example. A LOT. But I'm intentionally keeping my mouth shut because I think overall them doing what they're doing is a net good. We can polish off the designs later.
