Similar stuff some people do around here by the way, do you know nance?
Little yellow fruit that looks like small grapes but has a very hard pit. Slightly sweet but tangy.
Here we do a "pesada de nance" with it. Basically boil the pulp and juice with added cornstarch until it forms a cream or jelly. Once cooled it hardens into a cheese like texture.
Some people eat it with white cheese.
I will never know why.
