In the 2025 World Series Ohtani went .333/.500/.778
2025 NLCS: .357/.500/1.143
2025 WC: .333/400/1.000
Literally the only series where Ohtani's bat struggled was against the Phillies where he saw a grand total of 4 right handed pitcher PAs (they intentionally walked him for 2 of those). The 16 other were left handed pitchers, most of them relief pitchers specifically targeted at taking out Ohtani. And credit where it's due, it worked, he was invisible, but they were literally the only team that shut him down in the postseason this year lmao. And it was because they tailored their entire gameplan to shutting down one single player.
Even with the Phillies series where he slashed a measly .056/.150/.056, his OPS was HIGHER in the postseason than his MVP level regular season (1.096 vs 1.014 in the regular). Complete narrative based on feels and emotions. It's just not true.
