Right off the bat, the emotional tone is...cynical, to say the least. Each character is depicted as a caricature, with unflattering descriptions and exaggerated features. There's a sense of bitterness and resentment dripping from every corner of this image. Like, someone clearly has some beef with this particular community...

The first season with Frank Darabont as the one in charge was really good
Then they fired the showrunner and spent a season jerking off on a fucking farm trying to get a zombie out of a well without killing him to prevent him from fouling the water, like having a fucking walking bloated corpse shitting and pissing and bleeding in the water for weeks wouldnt ruin it

Stupid shit like that compounds in on its self and you can tell the writers just spun their wheels filling out episodes
