This is so cute (and hot), although that does sound like quite a direct way to tell someone you're interested, huh? Imagine if besides just for showing affection this was also a way of confirmation for a male pippins to know he has secured a partner after courting them, sort of "it's not official until this happens".
And returning for a moment to the bit about how they dress, I got the funny idea that it's Pippins culture that they all dress more formal outside of home for any reason. So imagine if a darkworld were to be opened in some other place and its own Pippinses were to spawn, it'd be fun if they also dressed pretty sharp and formal but in a different way than the TV world pippinses do, which are all pretty colorful.
