Longtalons is a good companion story, more melancholy and griffon-focused.
Anywhere but Here is raunchy as fuck but has fun characters and is a nice twist on the original fic
Renewal is good so far, as a recently-completed FoE fic with likeable characters that tries to avoid the worst tropes of early fanfics while incorporating things from the later seasons of FiM into the setting.
