/o/kay guys, I need some general advice. if you have 5 minutes for my story i'd be grateful.

>38 yr old single male, employed, EU
>driving cars since 2006
>got my motorcycle licence in 2007, haven't driven a motorcycle since
>riding was super accessible and fun
>but I somehow scared myself out of it by catastrophizing on horror stories about moms in minivans just ramming me off the road while typing on their phones
>been getting the itch for years, now I' finally am able blow money on a (used?) bike without it really hurting my overall financial plans and situation

So, how do I get back into it?
I've put aside money for gear (helmet, gloves, boots, jacket, back protector) and repairs.
The real questions seems to be on what bike to get:
>only interested in naked bikes up to 9000 EUR/USD
>prefer to only buy from dealerships, used bikes arent a problem
>max age, mileage, hp...?

As of right now, the 2025 Kawasaki Z900 or Yamaha MT-09 are what I'm gunning for.

I've been talking to people who drilled the important of normal ABS and cornering ABS into my head. Having looked into it a bit further and seeing how it seems to be able to save inexerperience riders from slides and accidents, it doesn't look like a bad idea.
The downside is having corverning ABS as a "must have" eliminates any pre ~2022 used bikes that I could've gotten for maybe 6000 €/$.
How important is cornering ABS really? Would love to hear some first hand experiences.

Also, are LED headlights overhyped or actually worth it?

TL;DR, I want to get my first bike almost 2 decades after getting the licence and have only a vague idea of where to start and what to get. Any help is appreciated.
