This was from just this year. The only reason they're letting up now is because they're content that nothing like Senran Kagura or Gal*Gun will ever be attempted on their consoles again. If Japanese publishers start getting ideas to bring them back, Sony will just re-amp the enforcement to 2018/19 levels to reapply the chilling effect.

Nah, they're not trustworthy. These will probably only pass because they already released in Japan (ReVerse is also just Re;Birth 1 and it already released in 2020) and Snoy only has a global policy unlike Nintendo. In the same time period, they censored Tsukihime R's artbook and fucking Princess Maker of all things. I'd sooner expect Nintendo to backtrack than Sony. They're the ones who started all of this, after all. Everyone else is just following their lead.
