Weirder part, that kinda implies the “memories” and “common sense” the toons have are all just lifted straight from the show. It explains why they don't freak out about existential shit even if they know about the episodes—they literally can't tell the difference between reality and the "show". In their memory, both are equally real, and they lack the common sense to even question it.

So putting it all together, a full Toon is probably made of: ichor, delilah's tech, arthur’s character drafts, and the episodes themselves...

So that’s why dandy’s so obsessed with collecting those tapes? because they're literally the raw material to make more toons?
