That's the thing, the game and its playerbase won't let you.
As I said, he needs constant shilling as in-game advertisement. You can't ignore him when the story focuses on his interactions, which is what happened in the Simlanka Wanderer disaster.
And as I said, his playerbase is VERY vocal, probably the most vocal outside of Hu Tao or Furina. They're the kind of people that aren't shutting up about Flins right now, and won't shut up as long as Wanderer holds and kind of in-game relevance.
Is this an overreaction? Certainly, this is just a stupid chinese video game. But it doesn't change the fact that whenever he appears, Genshin gets harder to tolerate in multiple ways, for multiple different purposes, for reasons beyond "he's annoying to listen to"
