Microsoft is actually insanely generous about collabs. The only reason Master Chief didn't turn back up in Fortnite for two years is because they had no idea he was one of the most fan-requested and highest rated skins in the game. He's been consistently in the top #40 skins out of 2000+ since his release, and their learning of his popularity is why Fortnite just got another Halo collab alongside Power Rangers. Master Chief also turns up every 1-2 months now.

So, I can't see the Halo stuff not being a dedicated Warbond that sticks around forever. Especially when you look at how people reacted to the way Killzone was handled.
