Animals that are raised by humans often imprint on humans as their species, then when they get to sexual maturity they only want to mate with humans. This is why there is so much difficulty getting zoo animals to reproduce.

When you raise the human child by watching cartoons instead of being human it causes the same effect.

Watching my little pony was the primary socialization experience of the child, so now it wants to mate with my little pony.

This is very sad but there is probably nothing that can be done except to put the furry out of its misery.
