She went up 1 place this year, didn't she? To be honest, Sanae's placing in the vote is always the one I'm least interested in, because she just hops around 2 or 3 places like everyone else in that bracket. The characters that get less votes are the most interesting to look at.
Though I do enjoy seeing the comments every year. There's lots of dedicated fans there, and some people even post personal stories relating to how that character helped them.
My favorite was a comment saying "When I die, I want to be buried with all my Sanae merch and have my body covered in it."
