Sure, but almost all of them will have been released within the next 40 days (with the exception of FE, Mario Wonder, Rhythm Heaven, and Tomodachi Life), and I’m willing to bet all but FE will be released by the end of March. It’s not like they’re years upon years away, and if I’m right they’ll all be out within the first year of launch.

The chances of the announced games being cancelled is close to zero, so for all intents and purposes they are titles the console “has” within its launch year.

Even if you want to discount the unreleased titles, I’d say what has been put out is a relatively steady cadence after only ~4 months on the market. I wasn’t a huge fan of Mario Kart but I really enjoyed DK. I know a lot of people who bought their Seitch 2’s in anticipation of Kirby and Pokemon in particular.

I think the console is doing a very good job of catering to a wide variety of players in terms of available genres, though I still believe the Switch 1 had a stronger launch with BotW. I think the big thing the console is missing is a big ass RPG.
