Yep, I started learning Japanese about 3 years ago and the only times I've used subtitles since is whenever I'm seeing an anime movie in theaters since I don't exactly have a choice (but I do ignore them.) The only thing of note that's given me an issue too as of late is the technobabble in Eva, being a NEET also means lots of study time.

Thank you anon. I do hate being an attention whore about it, but the combination of sub-talk and having this be the 2nd season of the first show I gave up on language wise, yet is completely fine for me now, got me thinking about it (and a bit emotional while watching.)
