It was not. And I even needed my parents to explain it to me because I was a kid and did not understand why the fat old buffet lady was nice to some people, but not nice to me.
I do hope to return to Crimea out of nostalgia some day, but renewing passport when only Russian embassy in D.C. is open is a huge pain in the ass. I'll probably wait for shells to stop falling first.
